The EX30's 12.3-inch center touchscreen runs Google Built-In natively, giving access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store with 4 years of included connectivity. The Countryman SE uses a 9.4-inch round OLED display with its own interface and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
On the safety side, the EX30's standard suite is notably broad. It includes Intersection Autobrake, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, Front Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Alert (which warns of cyclists when opening doors), Pilot Assist (semi-autonomous highway driving), Traffic Jam Assist, Run-Off Road Mitigation, and a 360-degree camera with 3D View. The Countryman SE's confirmed standard safety content covers adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning, and parking sensors.
The EX30 also includes a Digital Key Plus feature, allowing the car to be locked, unlocked, and started via a smartphone app or NFC smart card, removing the need for a traditional key fob entirely.
